chmod is command in linux which will change the permsisson of a file.There are three modes which can be either enabled or disabled: read, write and execute. Each mode can be set for either the owner, the members of the owner’s group, or all users.
How to use chmod command in FTP
First download and install the ftp client and then connect to the ftp server.Choose the file and folder for which you need to change the file permisson.
Right click on the folder a new menu will appear as shown below. Click on properties/chmod.
A new window will popup. In this new window there is a field Permissions
Change the filed permission accordingly and press on ok .
